Update!
Great News-- Registration is full! Homeschool
Day set for March 26 The New Market Battlefield State Historical Park announces its first annual Homeschool Day. According to Troy D. Marshall, Supervisor of Historical Interpretation, “We have been a partner with the local homeschool community for more than a decade. This event is our way to welcome our veteran groups back and to assist new groups with their educational needs. I believe that all museums would benefit from an expanded homeschool program. It is a win-win situation for all.” The Homeschool Day will be
held on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. This event
is free but does require advance registration. Activities include interactive
guided tours, military drill, black powder demonstrations, 19th century
crafts, storytelling, cooking demonstrations, games and period dancing.
This event is held rain or shine. |
