The VMI Museum is located in Jackson Memorial Hall on the VMI Campus, next to the Barracks.

Located at the southern tip of the Shenandoah Valley, in the town of Lexington, VMI is a 2-1/2 hour drive from Richmond, VA, 3-1/2 hours from Washington, DC, and 4 hours from Charlotte, NC. The campus, referred to as "the Post", sits on 134 acres, 12 of which are designated as a National Historic District. The museum is open 9-5 daily. Closed 23 December through 3 January.
