I understand that the Jeff Shaara Scholar-in-Residence will receive a cash prize of $3,500, free lodging in the 1818 House at New Market Battlefield State Historical Park, and a signed set of the Civil War Trilogy by Jeff Shaara. The Shaara Scholar-in-Residence will work in historic site interpretation and research for a period of ten weeks (40 hours per week) over the summer.
